Hey, I'm Jasmine!

I’m a creative marketing professional with 7 years of experience in sales enablement and activation at major media companies (FOX Sports and Viacom) and in the fast-paced world of start-ups. I'm currently the Marketing Director for the education technology company Dewey.

 

When I was at FOX Sports, a normal day consisted of brainstorming branded content solutions, writing and designing pitch decks, and doing whatever the heck it took to turn those concepts into a reality.

A not-so-normal day consisted of throwing on a Wendy’s t-shirt and a saleswoman smile to deliver cheeseburgers on live TV in the 90° Dallas heat for a brand activation (this did in fact happen, and the footage has unfortunately circulated its way around the office a few times. At least it made my grandparents' day, right?).

TLDR: My core competency is creative problem solving. Everything I do – whether it's connecting brands with fans by developing and producing a branded content series or building a marketing plan or production schedule from the ground up – comes from the place in my mind where creativity and strategy meet.

HONOR YOUR CHILD'S PLAY (61).png

KINDLING | executive producer & writer

Kindling is a master-class for life skills. Think of it as a docu-series meets online course. We cast twelve young adults from all different backgrounds and stories to come together and tackle one of the biggest questions we face: What are you going to do with your life?

 

Over 50 chapters, we get to know each cast member while also learning about everything from meditation to dealing with failure to the art & skill of networking.

VERIZON WIRELESS | campaign

While I was a copywriting and creative intern at Velocity, an in-house creative content agency at Viacom, I led the conception and creative direction for one of Verizon's pro-social initiatives, which happened to be a passion of mine. Verizon was looking for a campaign for HopeLine, their initiative to aid victims of domestic violence.

 

During my research, I stumbled across a piece of information that I couldn't get out of my head: every day, 6,000 women are turned away from domestic violence shelters due to a lack of funding. Every day.

This became the key insight for the campaign: 6,000 beds. 

 

The campaign reached 1M+ views on YouTube.

WENDY'S | social content series

Wendy’s tasked FOX Sports with creating a strong digital presence within the college football landscape. Oh, and add in nuggets. And burgers. And ... Segway delivery men?

 

Thus, CFB NOW was born. A weekly Twitter show filled with all the game-day content fans obsess over – heart-stopping highlights, exhilarating upsets, emotional interviews – while also weaving in GIFs, real-time tweets, and custom features that captured Wendy's cheeky brand voice. 

​

With 99% of views coming from mobile, CFB NOW is a truly digital show. Twitter was the perfect place for fans to participate in the real-time nature of college football conversation on Saturdays. Success of the show was measured through the 1M+ highly engaged viewers.

GOLF GALAXY | co-branded spot

We partnered with Golf Galaxy to create compelling social content around father's day and the U.S. Open. 

​

After finding the perfect real-life golfing family, we flew out to shoot at Golf Galaxy near Los Angeles and follow the family on a local golf trip. After capturing the content, we turned it into a video about golf, family, and father's day.

FOX SPORTS | brand activation & experiential 

One of the biggest rivalry events of the college football season is Texas vs Oklahoma, also known as the Red River Showdown.

 

Nearly 100,000 fans were expected to swarm the Dallas State Fair on game day. And the FOX College Football Pregame Show wanted to throw the biggest party and invite brands to activate with us on-site at the fairgrounds.

​

AT&T, Dr Pepper, State Farm, Wendy's, & SoFi. Although we had no prior experience in event management, we made it happen. 

​

STATE FARM | linear promo sketch

Remember Jake from State Farm? The khaki-clad ad mascot turned go-to Halloween costume for bros named Jake? Well, State Farm came to us with a new character they wanted to introduce to the world. His name? Gabe Gabriel. Sports agent.

​

Just after Gabe Gabriel's first spots started running, we collaborated with State Farm to create a custom sketch with Gabe Gabriel and FOX Sports talent, Matt Leinart and Rob Stone.

​

The sketch aired in the Red River Showdown Pregame Show on FOX.

WELLS FARGO | linear content series

DR PEPPER | social content series

A lover of technology and innovation, Wells Fargo came to us with the goal of a content series that surrounded these topics within College Football.

​

We created a highly-produced linear content series called Innovations of Better where our talent travelled to different schools and spoke with head coaches to unlock the incredible innovative technology that they use on a daily basis to train their teams.

​

The series aired within our College Football coverage on FOX. 

Breaking the Huddle is an Cynopsis award-winning Facebook Live series that was created to extend Dr Pepper's college football presence to digital.

 

Airing on Thursdays each week throughout the season, lead FOX College Football analyst Joel Klatt hosts the series, unabashedly delivering his hottest takes and watching as the shares and comments pour in. Have something to say about Joel? He'll give it right back to you in the BTH spinoff, Klatt Back. 

 

Breaking the Huddle accrued 15M+ views throughout the 2018 season.
